I have a Latte iPearl MP3 player that will not connect to any computer. When I plug it in, it will charge; however, no folder shows up under My computer and I cannot access the files. I believe this is because an issue with the drivers. It's showing no drivers installed and I cannot figure out where and how to download these back onto the player. Please help.

I had a similar situation with my Sansa player not long ago .
In my case...I have two computers. One recognized the player, while the other went through the situation you described (charged, but no recognition in My Computer).
I tried all sorts of things...finally, I looked in Device Manager. I saw what appeared to be an install of the player, but there was nothing in My Computer. So I removed the device listed from Device Manager, rebooted...attached the player and it behaved as it should have, promptly appeared in My Computer.
You might try it.
If these devices are Plug "n Play...there is no need to look for additional drivers to install.

I uninstalled the drivers and rebooted and still nothing. When I tried to connect it to my other computer and the computer at work, still nothing. Could it be possible that I deleted files from the mp3 player that it requires to connect?

Do you understand what Plug 'n Play is?
Is your player P"nP? The players I see by that name...are P'nP, with no specific drivers needing installation.

I was under the impression it was. It didn't come with an installation disk. All the forums I've looked at talk about uninstalling the drivers under Device Manager; however, it doesn't show up under there for me to do anything with it.

You'll also get a stopwatch and calendar function, and the ability to use the iPearl as a USB storage device--take a few important files with you wherever you need them.
- Latte Website
If that's the case, there should be no need for a specific driver.
USB Display Mode
Please connect the player to the PC via the USB data cable included (for Windows 2000 above, you do not need driver installation). The player will display an "Online" mode icon. The player will be displayed in the "My Computer" window and be assigned the next available drive letter by your PC. Double click this icon to open and display the contents of the player. Files and folders can be transferred, copied or deleted to and from this drive as you would on any other drive on your computer.
^ That's from the iPearl's manual.
Which Windows Operating System are you using? Also check the condition of the USB cable.

I would try uninstalling the USB controllers, via Device Manager...followed by a reboot.

I'm using Windows 7; however, I've tried it on both our desktop computer and my work computer, which runs Windows XP. I've tried to use a different USB cord, still the same results.

Do you see the "Online" mode icon on the player's display, when it is connected to a PC?
Also, is this a recent issue with the player?
And, is there a way to RESET the player?

No, when I plug it in it goes straight to the menu or if I turn it off when its plugged in, it shows the charge icon.
Yes, it's a recent issue. Just happened in the past week.
There is a reset button, but I've tried to push it and all it does is turn off. Doesn't help anything.

You might try the following before attempting to attach/install: Remove Unused Drivers and Devices - http://www.windowsnetworking.com/kbase/Win...andDevices.html

@hamluis
I don't think it has anything to do with the drivers.
It was clearly stated that the problem persists when connected to the other computers.
@MarciRiv
Could it be possible that I deleted files from the mp3 player that it requires to connect?
Well, deleting the media content shouldn't pose a problem, as the drive would still be detected by a computer.
Does that happen? Does the drive show up in "My Computer"?
If so, you might have just deleted the media files off the drive.

No, it does not show up in My Computer. The reason I think I may have deleted a file that was needed was because I removed a bunch of songs the last time it was plugged in. The next time I went to plug it in, I couldn't access the drive. It will plug in and charge, but won't actually connect to the computer.

Think you need to get a replacement, as their site is pretty much useless for downloads/support.
